Overview
Offset printing is commonly employed for high-volume printing tasks like producing vast numbers of newspapers, brochures, stationery, magazines, and boxes. This method involves transferring colors from large metal plates onto the printing substrate, either directly or via a blanket. Although it requires a bit more setup time, offset printing excels in delivering outstanding print quality and vibrant color rendition on various materials. It supports both CMYK and custom ink systems like Pantone, making it versatile. Additionally, it’s cost-effective for large-scale productions due to the one-time setup for continuous runs.
Process
It shows the arrangement and relationship between different components such as the Plate Cylinder, Printing Unit, Ink Reservoir, Inking System, Blanket Cylinder, Impression Roller, and a stack of unprinted sheets. Each part is color-coded to represent the flow and application of ink to the substrate through the offset printing process.
Printing Process Plate
Comprised of slender, flat sheets typically crafted from aluminum, offset printing utilizes these plates as a crucial element for imprinting your design onto paper.
